Inspired in Malibu in 2023!
Calvin runs to remind himself that every mile is a victory over doubt, a testament to resilience, and a celebration of the freedom to push beyond limits. We love this so much, and think this might have a little something to do with how they came to sign up for the Golden State Challenge for 2024.
Stephanie and Calvin live in Southern California so it was a natural step to sign up to race Run Malibu in November of 2023. Thinking that’s the only race they were doing that weekend, they came upon the Golden State Challenge booth and learned all about this amazing program celebrating 8 races throughout the year in California.
Not only did they commit to taking on the Challenge in 2024, they’ve got a special guest joining them at their 3rd race this year – their 10 year old! We met up with them again at Run Sip Santa Barbara in May where they shared they’ll be running 2) Surf City 10 5k virtually (yes, you can too, it counts!), 3) Long Beach 5k with their 10 year old and finishing up for their 4th Medal at the Run Malibu 5k.
We are so happy that Stephanie and Calvin got inspired by this series and made the awesome decision to be a part of it in 2024. And that they’re bringing special guests along the way – see you in Long Beach lil buddy!
